There is a local mountain bike club called “ Riders in the shadow of Shuteye” named after our epic ride to Shuteye Peak with a twenty mile downhill run that includes all three sections of the 007 trail and ending up at Bass Lake.  While there are a good number of road cyclists up here in the Sierra Foothills, the only organized club road rides are put on by the clubs from the San Joaquin Valley.
